Privacy Policy

Pearl Wind ("Pearl Wind," "we," "us") provides Ed, a brand-protection service that finds and helps remove fake stores, ads, and listings impersonating our customers' brands. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We wrote it to be read.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign in to the portal we use Google sign-in and receive your email address and name. When you subscribe, your email and your brand's website domain come to us from the checkout.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, and your billing email.
• Free-scan requests. If you request a free scan, we collect the email address and website you submit so we can run the scan and send you the report.
• Detection data. The core of the service is information about third-party fraud: look-alike domains, fake storefronts, ads, and listings that imitate your brand, including screenshots and page content captured as evidence. This is data about public websites operated by others, not data about you.
• Service logs. Ordinary technical logs (request times, errors) used to keep the service running. Our marketing site does not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To run sweeps for your brand, verify findings, and show them to you in your portal and your weekly report.
• To file takedowns on your behalf when you have authorized us to act.
• To bill your subscription and to communicate with you about the service.
• To improve detection quality. Findings you confirm or dismiss calibrate our system.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the product work: Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and email delivery), and our hosting providers (Render and Vercel, plus Cloudflare R2 for evidence storage). Each receives only what it needs for its function. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, and we share fraud evidence with registrars, hosts, platforms, and law enforcement as part of takedown filings you have authorized.

Retention

Account and billing records are kept for as long as you have an account and as required for tax and accounting. Evidence of confirmed fraud is preserved by design (that is the product: evidence frozen at capture), because fake sites vanish and takedowns need proof. If you cancel, we stop sweeping your brand; you may request deletion of your account data at any time.

Your choices

• Email austin@pearlwind.ai to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your account.
• Unsubscribe links or a reply with "unsubscribe" work on any non-essential email we send. Billing and security notices are essential while you have an account.
• The portal uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

Security

Portal access uses Google sign-in with per-brand access control. Evidence and data are stored with reputable cloud providers over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you promptly.

Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above; for material changes we will email account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
